"Another day, another opera"

Films: Phantom of the Opera (1989)

Alias: The Phantom, Mr. Foster

Type: Mystical

Location: Haunted home

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Sigh...well, at least it's not another Hyde movie. And hey, it's got Robert Englund, and adds a nice spiff to the old tale.

History: Long ago, decades in fact, Erik Destler sold his soul to Satan so that everyone would love his music. As a price, he got his face horrendously scarred, making sure no one would love him, and rendering his talent useless. Now, he kills others to make skin for his ruined face, and lusts after talented young musicians, particularly the blooming star, Christine.

Notable Kills: Makes a scene-shifter go up and down on a rope before slicing him.

Final Fate: After Christine lights his lair aflame with him in it, he's seemingly killed. But no, he persisted into the modern day, his face worse than ever, only to be killed by Christine (who was experiencing a whole-episode flashback previously) for real via stabbing and ripping apart his music.

Powers/Abilities: Immortality.

Weakness: Anything conventional, but destroying his music sheets ends him for good.

Scariness Factor: 4-Out of all the Phantoms, this one has to be the ugliest. Not only in looks (actually especially in looks), but in motivations. And no, selling yourself out to evil doesn't count as a tragic backstory.

Trivia: -As mentioned before, this Phantom was played by Robert Englund, and he's a bit bitter about that sequel not being made. Speaking of which...

-Originally, a sequel, known as "The Phantom of the Opera 2: Terror in Manhattan", was going to be made with the Phantom in the modern day, but it got canned due to the bad reception of this film. Even in it though, you can see the ambitions through the modern day bookends.

A telltale sign that this is going to be ugly.
Ewwww. Go back to the other masks. Better yet, your real face will do.
